I guess I should try to explain why I chose to do this.
At first it was just a walk from Chiswick to Westminster that I had taken, camera in hand.
I think after completing the walk to the Barrier it took on an appearance of seeing how London changes along the Thames, from the fairly country feel around Chiswick, through the city scape from Hammersmith to Tower Bridge and onto the industrial East of London.
